Bioinformatics web services
ICGEBNet provides a selection of locally developed and mirrored web-based services. Some of the services are freely available to the academic community, while others are provided to the registered users only.
Freely accessible services
DNAtools, is a collection of visualization tools to study various physicochemical properties of DNA molecules: bend.it, for the analysis of bendability and curvature; plot.it for graphical reppresentation of various physical, chemical and structural DNA parameters; model.it, for 3D reconstruction of a bent DNA trajectory; and introns, a database of intron/exon boundary statistic parameters. |
PROTEINtools is a collection of protein sequence and structure-related analysis tools: sbase: a prediction tool and database for finding domains in protein sequences; pride, for finding folds in protein 3D structures, CX, visualisation of protruding atoms in protein 3D structures, DPX: visualization of buried atoms in proteins. |
SBASE, library of protein domain sequences and a protein domain architecture prediction system. |
